Riley Goes to Saskatchewan Day 9 – Saturday June 10, 2017 Regina

I didn’t have a great morning as I don’t always sleep in when I’ve been up late drinking – more so now than when I was young – and the condo we stayed in was super bright. Then, shortly after 8, the in-laws called to inform us they would be there shortly for breakfast. We went to bed at 2 something. Oops.

We went to the casino to eat breakfast. Though it took a long time to eat the meal – really, a long time to get the bill – but the food was exactly what hungover me needed.

Afterwards, I somehow managed to use $20 for well over an hour at the machines. I probably should have walked away when I was up $10.

We then wandered to the Farmer’s Market. This time we didn’t buy anything but the market had a wide variety of stuff.

We went back to the condo and tried to figure out what to do. Eventually we went to Chapters.

After Chapters, we went to a place called Wok Box where we got meals for later.

After Wok Box, we went to Tim Horton’s so everyone could get coffee. Then it was time to go to the airport.

We drove the rental to the airport and ate our Wok Box meals. Surprisingly good for generic, chain “asian” food.

Once inside security, we were informed that our flight would be late. So we were a little upset about that.

Fortunately, though we left Regina a few minutes late, we somehow still arrived in Toronto early. (I guess we got a tailwind.)

We then had ridiculous luck with transportation: we got off the plane faster than normal, we got our luggage quickly, we made the UP just as it was going and we got a subway train fast. From out of the plane to home in about 50 minutes, which has to be some kind of record for using public transportation to get downtown from the airport.

All in all, a good vacation.
